are you doing y pipe too? I'm just doing the tsudo...

so did we decide if the catback tsudo will require an O2 sensor or not???

car jacks are fine...i get a little nervous with them so i'll probably either pull the right side of the car up on the curb or go to my buddy's and use his ramps....also, don't have to remove cat

no its a cat back....from the catalytic converter back and yes you can do it on jack stands. You might throw a CEL though if you dont have a shop weld an 02 bung in there before the install.

Yea i got warpspeed y-pipe too, so i think im gonna have to pull out the whole exhaust..thats gonna be fun =/..
as for the 02 sensor, i guess some people would rather leave it off, or in my case i think that the best thign is to get meineke or somebody to put the 02 bung in there. I jsut called them by the way, they said like 60$! Wheres that place that charges 10$ lol.
oh by the way did you guys see the video of this gyu racing a mustang (with a maxima of course). its afew threads down. really cool. Hes using the tsudo too i think. heres the link if you wana check it out. its awesome.

you won't have any problem. exhaust work all the way up the headers is a piece of cake...it's just removing rusted out pieces that sometimes involves torches, grinders, and air chisels that can be a *****.

oh man, you're kinda scaring me with the torches, and grinders, i dont even own those...god i hope i dont have to deal with that. my fingers still hurt from installing that berk intake over the weekend...so morale a little down right now...anyway, you and i should post again once/if we finish the tsudo install., just to see how it went. I'm thinking this weekend i'll workon it..

yeah, you do have a little more work than me with the Y pipe but it shouldn't be tough...climb under there and take a look at the bolts to see if they're rusted/corroded...get a can of PB blaster - it's pretty good at breaking loose rusted bolts

i already looked down when i replaced the stupid 02 sensor...everything is extra rusty, esp the y-pipe itself, thats why i wanted to replace it. the new one should increase 18-20hp from it alone, so ehh why not. hey when r u going to do yours?

you're gonna need a torch or grinder for that job if you're all rusted out down there...

ok guys. I almost finised installing this WS ypipe, magnaflow cat and tsudo exhaust. My whole body is sore, fingers cut, morale diminished. It took about 14 hours 8am - 10pm Saturday. Half of that time was use to take off the stock. All the bolts werer rusty and cannot be removed even wth liquid wrench. The only bolts tht I was able to take out are the ones connecting the y-pipe to the header. The rest were as if welded. SO i took off the whole system, from the y to the front of the muffler (exluding the muffler). I had to break off two bolts that were connected to the muffler. Pulled the whole thing off leaving the muffler hanging. The muffler had to be sawed off...
And that wasnt the hard part!
The y-pipe was suprisingly easy to go in. The cat too. I had an 02 bung welded at the resonator section for the rear 02 sensor. That needed some tweaking to fit the housing since the 02 bung was a little too far up. anywy so that was done. The hardest part was the stupid muffler, which required so much twists and turns to get it right in the stupid housing. I also had to jack the car up extra high so get room for maneuvering.
Alright so thats done, i started the car and it is loud! Duno if any hp increase or anything, but this thing sounds mean! cant even hear my berk intake anymore :/

OK so heres the problem. The car drives fine, with the exception of leaking at the y-pipe connection to the header. Its enough to be visible when looking under the at the conection. I used the stock gasket/oring to go between the y-pipe and header connection. I guess its not working. So can anyone help with this issue? I;d really appreciate it.

You decide. Some people think it is. However, tsudo N1 is the exact same as greddy evo2, pimpin02max and d40sithui have it, just doesnt say greddy on it and cost a lot less. A catback isnt going to do hardly anything for performance so if its sound your looking for I would just get the tsudo like they did.

Yeah, I would definitely go with the Tsudo over the Greddy, I love my Tsudo and it was 1/3 the price of the Greddy, like huffdaddy2008 said, the only real difference is mine doesn't say Greddy on it, and as for my video, I just used Windows Movie Maker to edit it.

Oh yeah, I was thinking about getting either headers or a y-pipe, what do you guys suggest I should do??? The Hotshot headers went back into production and are now $549, but then Warpspeed has the y-pipe for only $200, how much more horsepower would headers make over a y-pipe and what is the deal with the O2 sensors???

That's the link that I got, probably an old one though, because whenever I went to there website it said the same thing that they were going out of business.

Because of the cost of the equipment, only a handful of places around the country can do genuine Mandrel bending.

Thanks for clearing that up. I called around town to try and build my own catback and nobody in Lubbock has a mandrel bender meaning meineke or midas definetely wont have one. Only crush bends FTL.

You can buy a variety of I.D 45º , 90º and other various º bends from Summit racing in order to piece your own set-up together. Another option. Cattamn b-pipe isn't that expensive and goes just fine w/ the stock muffler.

Definately go for the Cattman stuff. I got their catback and I'm supremely happy (stock headers, ypipe, cat) it's got this slightly deeper, very mellow 'tuned' sound and on the inside @ idle i think it may actually be quieter(mind you my stock muffler flange had been broke a month before i got it mounted) I dont really notice an increase in sound on the inside. . .aside from the wind and tire noise from me driving faster because im so happy.
