that is really low miles, which worries me. it's possibly rolled back, or maybe worse, it just sat there. cars are meant to be driven. at just over 4000 miles per year it's possible that the car was not driven regularly. check the carfax on it and see if the title has been transfered. maybe her husband or someone in her family bought the car and then keeled over. for all you know the car has been sitting there for years.

if that's the case you're likely to have problems down the line. just something to check on before you make the decision.

also, it's not a particularly great price, 2003's with more equipment and normal mileage go for as much or less.

That is true, but they are a lot harder to find too. I've heard mixed things about a car sitting for long periods of time, If it is stored properly then it can be OK, but it should be started periodically and ran if the fluids were left in it. It may turn out to be the "luck of the draw"-type deal. I would just ask why it has low miles, how it was stored, etc...

I consider myself pretty lucky and I am super happy with my purchase. About a month ago, I bought a 2001 Maxima SE with 47K miles from the original owner who upgraded the wheels and got pretty much every option except for Meridian. He got a 7 yr/75000 mile extended warranty which I am going to be enjoying until June 2008. Did I mention the car was immaculate inside and out. The guy had every service record and everything. It was definitely an ideal buy. Car is supoer clean.

I paid $10,500. So yes, that is a hell of a deal if you can get that car for that price. Just make sure you get a carfac report and fully give the car a once over and check to see that the parts/wear match the 26K miles.

nah, nothing bad on your part...i was just messing with you..But the problem with hotlinking is that it uses the BANDWIDTH OF THE SOURCE OF WHICH IT CAME FROM...and alot of forums when you attempt to hotlink it will restrict it because its leeching bandwidth from the other site

i don't want to get into more of a p!ssing match with you, since it's stupid. I'm 22, by the way. The reason that i went to CCIE is because that is what was required in order to receive a promotion at my previous job. no reason to waste time and money for another cert if it was not going to help me.

the HP and Dell certs were not ones I studied for; it just so happened that in order to perform product deployments the manufacturers wanted me to pass their exams. i won't bother defining terms for you because anyone could just google ACL or VLAN and spit out a definition.

i originally said what i did to prove a point, that being that a man of your impeccable credentials and unsurpassed intelligence really ought to know how to search for a car.

everyone else, i'm sorry for turning the thread into a senseless flamewar.

i dont have to google a damn thing, or spit out a definition, thats what my BRAIN is for especially when you are a geek about it.....you said what you did, TO THROW OUT, that you want to believe you are BETTER THAN SOME ONE, when it struck you that I HAVE JUST AS MUCH KNOWLEDGE AS YOU DO...bet you were not expecting that..I know how to search for a car...IM JUST NOT GOING ALL THE WAY TO INDIANA FOR ONE.

so on that note, i apologize for helping turn this into a flame war between dko and I

used car value is a subjective thing. The car ou812 (more VH, just got that) is looking at may be in much better shape, mechanically and cosmetically, than the ones dko posted, and, if true, the seller knows what he has. He will either get it, or drop the price, or choose to keep the car.

yeah i know, a steal...but its extremely difficult to find one with such low miles and well takenen care of...

plus its the ONE car ive ALWAYS wanted. 03. not any other year...
