E brake light

My emergency brake light is intermittently staying on while I'm driving.

Does that just mean my e brake needs an adjustment? Is it also a warning light for other brake issues?

It might mean low brake fluid. Check the level.

Could be your pads are low. I had that happen to my old car. Replaced the pads/rotors and everything was good.

Pads were very recently replaced, rotors resurfaced. The battery light is not on as well, but the car has been getting harder to start and I assume my 4 year old battery is getting ready to die.

The PBR pads I used on the rear suck....making tons of noise...I just got new shims that I've been meaning to install.

I'll check the fluid tonight......

Actually, it's a possiblity. If there is little material left on the pads, the volume of fluid in the brake system must be compensated for, therefore, more fluid must be put into the caliper as a result. And if the fluid wasn't very full to begin with, the fluid drop will cause a brake light.

The sensor can be seen on the master cylinder.

But even with the pads worn all the way down the fluid isn't low enough to trip the light (at least on my car).
