How long will it last?

I had the same issue with my 2000 I30...about 197k on it. I replaced my revolution sensor and my tranny fluid, still doin the same thing. So yesterday i went to summit racing and got a B&M tranny cooler worked out fiine. But what i wanna know from anyone is.... after installing the cooler has the problem come back?

And after installing did anyones car seem to shift increrdably smmmoooth?

Yes, after installing my tranny cooler I had it happen one time. But the conditions were extreme (110 degrees, uphill for 10 or 15 minutes goingin 90 MPH) and I have a VB mod. So I did not think it was an issue. Since then it has not happened.

I have an 03 i35, My tranny use to slip out of od on really hot days. I think It has to do with the engine slightly overheating. Not long after that I found out i had a leak at the top of the radiator. Changed the radiator and changed the tranny fluid, problem was gone. Now Im having same problem again. But engine temp creeps up after an hour of driving 80mph and ac is on. If I let off the gas, and cruise 70 the temp goes back down to normal, and this is all highway driving. Thinking the radiator may need to be replaced again as its under warranty from orileys. Bad radiator equals hot tranny.

yes, i agree with your statements, i also recommend the auxiliary transmission cooler if you plan on keeping it for a while, it was the first function mod I did on my max. and haven't looked back
my engine over heated from the radiator going once and another time when the water pipe failed (im lucky i didnt warp the head), but each of those times with the engine over heating i had no OD flashing, the only half related transmission symptom was going up a huge hill and noticed the car struggling to get up the hill from the over heating but not even sure if that is transmission related. - my point is even with overheating the aux tran cooler kept any symptoms from the over heating away from the transmission.
