as for the dipstick reading. The curvature takes on oil and covers the dipstick from top to bottom everytime you pull it out. However if you look closely, there is a border where it suddenly goes from thick to thin oil. its pretty faint and you have to look closely but it gives me an accurate reading everytime. Hope that helps.
