2000 SE Engine 'Stumbles?'

I have a 2000 SE

For a moth or two now, when I start the engine of my max, it will stumble a bit on start. In that the engine seems to seize up for 1 ½ seconds; sounding like the pistons cannot move. But sometimes it sounds like 3 or 4 of the pistons are running fine, while 2 of them are stalling. Then, the other pistons start fine and the engine sounds normal.

I know it’s hard to say from the above description, but anyone have an idea what it may be? I had all of my spark plugs replaced in June 06 with NGK Platinum plugs. In May 2007 I had my MAF sensor replaced due to lack of acceleration/performance.. I replaced the MAF as there was a general loss of acceleration about 9 months ago, and it was a bit sluggish. The car seems to have its moments of ‘sluggishness’ all over again. (The whole reason I replaced the maf.)

I wish I could post an audio clip of this, which would be easiest. Anyone have an idea of why it’s ‘stumbling?’

The problem you described is exactly what I had. I replaced all six coils and my problem was solved.

How much would that run me? Parts and Labor if I brought it to a shop...?

What are the other symptoms of bad coils..?

The plugs with the silver dots are updated plugs. So basically, don't buy plugs without the silver dots or else you'll have the same problems again.

Ok, so it prob the Ignition Coils, anyway....... If it is that, will lower my gas mileage, or impede acceleration? Or is it just at startup is the problem..?
