The paint on my 2K is chipping on the hood (just like everyone else's). BUT I saw a 5th Gen the other day that had a plastic rock/bug shield on the front of the hood. I thought seriously for a minute about chasing the guy down! Anybody know where I can get one of these? I despise the cloth hood covers...

Thanks!

If you can't get one from your dealer, then do an internet search on "auto ventshade carflector" and you should be able to find a dealer. Get one...you'll like it.

Yeah I saw that car too. Who's car was that? I like his lower front grill and the bug deflector.

Another follower huh Flomax?

Actually FloMax started the trend. The carflector is much better than the bra because water can drain freely from it. As someone stated before Summitracing has the best prices. If you don't care about price you can order direct http://www.autostyles.com/carflect.htm#Nissan . I believe its about 20.00 more. Youll be really happy with the deflector cause it serves its purpose and looks might nice :-)

Thanks guys! Believe it or not, I'd searched the 'net for two hours looking for one of these, and posted to alt.autos.nissan.maxima - to which all I got was pointers to bras.

I'll be ordering tomorrow.
