I just installed the best OSCAI I think possible. I mean I know most people have been going with the standard 2.5" ShopVac Hose, but when I went to Home Depot I decided not to go to the 3" to 2.5" coupler. I wanted to have a larger opening. So I used a 3" Aluminum Flex Hose and installed that. I have a 2K1 Max SE and the install took 20mins.

This $hit is HOT!!! I mean and it costed me $15.

http://www.geocities.com/dsuthar/oscai/

That is the link of the pics installed. I put a 3" hole in the spalsh gaurd and just have the hose aimed into it. Right now it is fairly looking rough at the opening but will probably end up putting a large flat ring over the opening so you dont see the sort ugly look.

Let me know what you guys think. By the way THANKS UMD_MaxSE!!! Mad props for helping me out on questions of installing this OSCAI.

hmm, paint the ends black, and put a rectangle grill across the whole splash gaurd, that should camoflauge it.

nice work

I was thinking of getting a 5" Ring with a 3" inner hole. Basically making it about 1" coverage all around. They sell them at HomeDepot, I can get the flat ones that are like 1/16" thick. That way I could either epoxy or mold on there and that would probably make it look the best.

Paint the ring black or get it black. I think it is in the roofing section.

I think then it will mad hot.

Good job. I think some type of grill with the ring on top of that would be nice..

So how does your car feel?

My car seems to have a bit more bite off the line, but I aint really tested it since it was about 12:30am and just finished and just parked it. I will post it tommorow about the speed, that is if I dont take my 2001 Suzuki GSXR600 bike out!!

cool...

When I first tested my car after the conversion I noticed that the RPM's raced up faster. The weird thing is before the change I was able to get my car up to 143 3 times with no problem. After that the highest speed I've been able to reach is 130 I need to update my sig cuz I'm back to stock for now...

Keep up posted on the butt dyno.

The oscai look great for the price, but what about them sucking up water? My car is a daily driver and i am worried about getting water in the motor with them being so low to the ground.

Well Most likely the chance of Water traveling up a 18" pipe is almost Zero. If some water drops or smalls traces of water make it all the way up, that is still ok because that is what the stock Airfilter is still there for.
