It's true- Nissan figured it out- The September pricing went in to effect this morning, the new Nissan list is over $700 a side! I just got with my boss, Town North Nissan will honor the old pricing on the lamps we have in stock at this time. Those of you that have verbally reserved a set with me will be covered. After that point, I have 5 sets left. When they are gone, that's it. At that time, the best I will be able to do is about $575 a side. Also, the '02 mounting clip is still on back-order, and I don't have enough harnesses for all of them, they are due in early next week. I will reserve them for anyone who calls, & them ship them when the wiring/clips come in.
Regards, David Burnette, Town North Nissan

There is no need for vulgar language.

no sourness here.... If i can get a set at that old price, then it's all good.... if not, I'll look into aftermarket HIDs later on...

Remember....

If you want these lamps...you should contact Dave. I am not sure Dave is going to monitor this thread for valid part orders?

Give him a call or drop him and email is your best bet to secure these lamps.

I just called my local Nissan dealer and they said I could order the HIDs as a special order. They quoted $183 each, but the guy didn't seem to understand why i'd want them. Maybe not all of the dealers have been informed of the price change? I have to drop by after work and see if I can place the order.

If I get the HIDs this way instead of from DaveB, what other parts am I going to have to get? Wiring harnesses or instructions?

I just called DaveB and he said he already has orders for all the ones in stock or soon to be in stock. I'm next on his list, but if I get mine from the local dealer, I'll take my name off the list so someone else can have them.

Just ordered a set of HIDs from DaveB. Not sure how many he has left. Give him a call.

If you can't get a pair reserved through Dave, you might want to check with your local Nissan dealer asap to order the kits. You might be able to get them at the lower price. Be careful though, the dealer might order them at the low price, but Nissan might charge the full higher price for them. Also, if you get them this way, you'll have to find a way to get the wiring harnesses too.

I knew IT!!!

That is why I ordered mine and was the first one to get them and install them. I knew this deal was too good to be true.

But remember all of you, You will have to Hammer the bottom the portion of the frame. That is the only was the assembly is going to fit, unless you plan on shaving the assembly which is not recommended since you and I dont know how thick it is and might cause a water problem if you get too close.

I will have the wiring instructions up soon enough, my geocities account does not seem to let too much data transfer, looking for another site right now.

Woah.... 7 bills each? I can sell my set, get an aftermarket set, and still be on top........ BUT I'm not going to do that.

Good thing I called yesterday.

Let say no more than 10-20megs. I got racks of pics of the install, but I am not the "BEST" at making web pages so just getting around to organizing it.

It is just in khaos cause there is so much crap i need to put on the write up, but it is just seems so un-organized, i think it might confuse or turn people away.

But the thing is all the info needs to be in there.

Hopefully maybe I will get around it to finish the layout tonight, plus i just moved to Laurel and no more cable modem and now back on the dark ages of 56k modem.

We all knew it was a Mistake, look up Infiniti's 2001 QX4 and 2000 Q45....$1200-1800...hmmm.

Go Figure. The price break was fun while it lasted.
I smell E-Bay Auctions for the "underpriced" units.
That is well said.

Cheers

Do you guys not read all the posts in a thread? If you check a few replies back, I mentioned that you might be able to get the HIDs at the lower price if you call your dealer quick.

I got mines!! But I think Dave's gonna wait till everything is in before he starts shipping them out...at least that's what he told me. The bracket/clip still has to come in and I think the harnesses are on backorder. Not too sure about the status of the harnesses, but I know the clip still has to come in.

Actually, switching to PIAA H4 bulbs makes the stock headlights look almost HID, so it's still a good alternative to messing with your entire headlight assembly.

What color was the touring spoiler when you received it? I've seen it grayish-black and beige-tan. Did you install it yourself? If not, how much was it to install and\or paint?
