Who would win this race, I have a 2002 Max SE automagic, and my friend has a 99 BMW 328i 4 door 5 speed.

5 speed auto or manual? the manual might be hard to take out with a good driver because of the launch and the good gearing...but the auto might take you in the beggining if the guy knows how to launch, and you should easily take him out after 60 if not lower. however, on the twisties, you'll get your a$$ handed to you

Although I couldn't tell you, I have noticed that at the dealership here in Lubbock, there have been 2 people so far that have traded in their BMWs for a 2002 Maxima. Food for thought....

I purchased my 02 a month ago and I think you will take him. The 02 has a large powerband and has alot of gutts down low as well as mid and high. If you had a 01 it would be a different story!

the auto vs. the 5 speed manual 330i, i dont think so. they run low to mid 6s to the 60s and mid 14s. throw in a few turns and the max has a hard time... and if the guy knows how to take advantage of the rear wheel drive, the car is a good car. take the e36 m3 for example... 240hp 0-60 mid-high 5 seconds??? nothing to joke around with

He is talking 328i which is a 4 door and not to powerful.Even though what does the new Max run the 1/4 in? It has to be 14's I know a 6 speed would own a 330.

Well I raced him today on a not to busy road, and all he seen was my ugly ***. It was even till about 40 feet, but after that I just pulled on him like he was driving a Lada. He has a manual 5 speed transmmision and the M3 17" rims. Both of our cars are stock.

Wow that is far north for sure! You might be .org member who owns a Maxima that is furthest north. Is that near Barhead?

Hey you live in the Prairie? I live in Edmonton. I am currently trying to decide between a 2002 Max Se and a 2002 Acura TL Type S. Which dealer did you buy your car from?

I bought my car from G.P Carland in Grande Prairie. What is the price difference between the Acura MSRP and Max MSRP. I think with the Max you get a lot of car for the money.

Well I am not too sure about MSRP but here are the prices I am getting:

TL Type S - $40 500 everything except GST
2002 Max SE 6 speed with HLSD/Leather - $36 650 everything except GST

I didn't really enjoy the auto Max, I have a deposit on the six speed to see if I will be able to live with one for a long period of time...
