How do you get ths thing off of here? I removed the shift boot around the ****, and I don't see any screws? I've heard from others it may be loctited on there!?!?

I got a MOMO combat, and am anxious to put it on, but of course can't even get this one off!
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Andrew

I struggled with that for a while. Basically, you need to get something to grip the shiftknob with (without scratching the leather) and just turn counter clockwise as hard as you can. It might take quite a few tries. If not, just wiggle it around like this ->

Is there anything I can use to loosen up the loctite?

I have tried for a while with my bare hands, and now they are bright red and burning, while that damn **** is still sitting on there!!!!! This things tough!

I don't think I have strap wrench on hand, but I was thinking maybe a hair dryer or something might soften it up??? Any thoughts?

I had the same situation but the strap wrench will work because I just did it in preparation for installing my new 2002 ****. Worst case get out a hack saw and cut the **** off. Your installing a aftermaket **** so you really don't need the threads. The new **** is held on by set screws. I would invest the $6 on a wrench if you plan on reinstalling the original **** at a later time.

Not sure about the glue but heat will just wreck the leather ****.
