Sorry I went off on you last time. It's your service department that should've taken the hit. [/B][/QUOTE]

Thankx Kev. Service Mgrs. dont like mods 'caus if it aint in the service manual they dont know nothin' - Also when they see mods they see someone that may know something about cars and wont be able to $$overcharge$$...Do-it-yourselfers dont feed service mgrs kids so they will blow U off and wait for the unsuspecting to pull into the driveway.

what to pay... what to pay...

795.00? well.. I guess the only way to swallow that pill is to look at what other mfgs charge for that as an option. I was with a friend who is about to pick up a Merc C240... hid? $895! I think the Altima is $499. And of course the aftermarkets are $400-500.

the other thing to consider is that they are 50% cosmetic and 50% function. Still alot of cash, but its not like a bulb you only see at night, you get the agressive light group too.

Only downside, even at this price, is it will really p*ss you off everytime you see a /rental/ /base GXE/ /grandma beater/ '02 with the same lights you shelled out major cash for. but they still look great day and night.

I have HID headlights and foglights and they are phillips. They are pretty purplish/whitish. The foglight is actually H1 HID. Since the conection is almost the same all I had to do is take out the reflector and they fit right in. Here is a pic! They are about $450 - $480.

Hey that's pretty nice. How do you like the philips HID kit? Any Pros/Cons or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Had them since April and no probs! Plug right in and very simple install over all. Have not tried the Panasonic, Raybrig, Bellof, ect... but Im sure those are real good kits also. I chose Phillips cause the brand is very reliable. Good Luck!

Yeah, I'm thinking about getting the Philips kit. There's a shop by my house that said the ballasts were very reliable. How's the light? Is it pure white or does it have a hint of blue? Some .org members were saying that it's yellow at some angles? Is that true? Thanks

OSRAM is pure WHITE. No blue color at all. I saw them on ants97se tonight. Extremly bright.

Luckily he slammed the brakes enough to scrub off some speed otherwise he would've hit him going 35 or so.
BTW I was all over these two Si's when they went at it. I kept flashing my HIDs for them to move....jerks.
Did you know...HID's require a hell of power to start, and needs time to warm up. When the electricity hits the center of the capsule where it is filled with xenon gas, the gas is still "cold" and not yet "active". Each time you turn on the HID's, a very tiny amount of xenon gas is vaporized. By flashing it, you are actually shortening the HID's lifespam. Not a very smart thing to do.

If i installed a HID kit, will I still have my highbeam? Somehow, I read in the board that I will lose my highbeam if I installed a HID conversion kit. Aldo, compared to a PIAA extreme, how much brighter is HID?

Isnt it true though that you could just buy the bulbs if you have the 2k2 headlights? and save about half the money? This is what I have been confused about that...the HID conversion kit is about $700 and for people who want to convert to Xenon...that comes w/the transformer right? I'm looking to just get a different color bulb for my 2k2 lights...where can I get them...

Where is a good place to buy the OSRAM

Or which model for that matter. The OSRAM site seems to be mostly dedicated to upgrading F-series pickups, etc.
