Had Plasma's close to a year and Super-Ion fogs. Recently replaced with Xtreme's but not due to bulbs just looking for change. Try www.autobulbdepot.com and save a couple $$$$.

The whole key to ANY bulb is not to touch the glass and ALSO, I REPEAT ALSO, while installing it NOT to touch the glass part to anything, not even bumping it to the headlamp opening. Cause when you do this, you just lightly scratch that coating, and under heat, that coating will begin to deteriorate over time and the bulb will blow quick, like within months.

Alot of people seem to be brainwashed on JUST not touching the bulb and if it touches other parts that is ok cause it is not as bad as touching it with your fingers which have alot of oils. Well they are wrong. Just wanted to add that in there incase he did not know.

I have had PIAA SuperWhites since January and they are working just fine. I also have a set of PIAA foglights (1900x) and Xtreme Whites in my corners and my backup lights.

Yes, street legal and the life of the bulbs? Not to sure but I put some Piaa bulbs in my Max about 8 months ago and one of the bulbs just blew out a few days ago. Now have to go out and buy new ones.

If you use the right wattage then you will be ok, if you use the 80 watt h4 then they blow out like 2 months.

Greasy fingers

The reason not to touch the bulb or glass is that you leave grease, so when it heats up, the grease boils and the glass will get very hot and break.

how much?

Ive heard that the PIAA bulbs are like $70 bucks...Is this true? I would only consider getting PIAA because all the other cheapie bulbs are crap..Ive talked to alot of people w/ 10, 20 , 30 dollar bulbs who all say your lucky if the cheapies last 6 months. back in the day when I owned a 200sx I had some "blue" bulbs that actually melted my headlight assembly.Im definitly not gonna go through that again!!

I have had nothing but GREAT results from PIAA, and they even warrantied a set when the color was not up to par. Save a couple bucks at www.autosupermart.com or www.autobulbdepot.com. I have them inside, upside, and outside. Follow directions on install and keep bulbs clean, thats all it takes. Have Platniums in wifes car for over two years and they still look clear.
