Home Depot Grille

What do ya'll think about my home depot grille? Has anyone used any type of adhesives to mount the grille instead of zip ties? Sorry for the blurry pics, camera phone isn't all that great.

Post some pics standing a little farther back.
It's hard to tell from those pics what it looks like.

Do you think that epoxy will discolor being exposed to the weather cuz there isn't really any inconspicuous spots where i can apply it to mount it.

the opoxy needs to be applied in places you wont be able to see it which is hard on our grills. thats why people use zipties

Sooner,

Did you go your 3.5 cover yourself? I had an email from some one who said they did them, but deleted it by accident. I would love to have one. Thanks. Shoot me any info you might have. Thanks.

Honestly, it would look better if you painted the mesh black. IMO, blacked out grills look really good on light colored cars.

i did the same thing a few years ago, but the mesh is behind the grill slats, and is painted black. It's held on with zip ties and hasn't moved in 2 years.... HD gutter guard, FTW.....

Did something similar with the grille of my Bronco about 6 or so years ago. Holding up great. I used Stainless Safety wire though.

I did something similar with my 02. I used thin wire to hold the pieces in place. You can't see the wire and I haven't had a problem with them in over 10,000 miles. Check out the thread for pics and a how to. http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....ighlight=grill

prophecy.. if you go with the mesh i think you should do the lower valance mesh too.. if you opt not to do the mesh then do it like your second pic and itl look nice, as to mesh or not to mesh.. that is your question my friend

mm.. i see what your saying also.. i like that 1 too ^ but if you were to keep it like pic#1 with the mesh and chrome bars, you could do the lower valence mesh too but tuck them in and keep those factory black horizontal pieces and chrome them somehow so it can flow with the main grille better..

try photoshopping that and see what comes out.. i wanna see too
