It's been talked about before, the Injen is a poor design.

Thought they all have "Dyno proven" sticker on them?

Nonetheless... I can never shell out 250 bones for a used intake when I can spend it on something better like springs, tires, wheels, lips, or 250 JDM cheeseburgers!

I have had a injen intake I felt like I lost a bit on the lower end and didnt pick up anything anywhere else. The only positive thing was the engine note change. This topic has been talked to death. Just look at the many threads and you will get all the science why it is a bad design and which ones work the best.

I've never noticed a difference WRT MPG. And I've had MANY intake set-ups. The most noticeable increase in MPG I noticed was when I went with light weight wheels.

hate all you want on the injen. it gives you: a name, sound, looks, and performance and that is what your paying for not just performance. i loved my injen on my 4th gen. you people ***** because it's expensive. it's also the best looking/sounding intake out there. /thread

yup...you are paying all that extra money for a name and something shiny. but that name doesnt mean anything with real maxima owners that know better. it might work in a local parking lot meet. but if thats the people you are trying to impress.....

a berk has the exact same sound. why would i pay more for an injen

Injen is a crap name, sound is subjective, looks are subjective and it's NOT a performance part.

Besides, I thought the popular Injen mod around now is too make it more like the Berk by getting rid of the down tube...

What I've done to my stock intake and the tools necessary for it to work cost more than an Injen would ever dream of costing.

I got my berk in recently and I think its really good, sound/gain is noticeable. Sounds sick in the cool weather.
