anyone konow a good preformance chip for my 2001 max

looking for something that wont burn a hole in my pocket and not that ebay junk with a resistor inside eaihter so know any good ones for around $100, also which would be a better investment a kenwood DDX712 touch screen head unit or a ingen CAI
