Need to paint muffler "sleeve", what paint to use

My 5th gen SE came with the sleeve that goes over the two exhaust tips. Well all the winters have killed it and it's quite ugly. I took it off and need to paint it.

Can anyone recommend a good paint that can withstand the temperatures, look good, and last for a long while (assuming it's prepped and painted correctly)

Hoping to paint mine something that looks close to what the car did when it was new..."stainless" color I guess.

Thanks!

Any high temp engine paint should hold if you dont wanna dish out money on aftermarket tips.

High temp paint for a BBQ works well for exhaust. Just be sure that if you are priming it you use a high temp primer too.

Check the label...most BBQ paints don't reqiure priming.
You know you can get get some cheap screw on tips from autozone. Might look better that a rattle can paint job.

G2 paint or VHT engine enamel both have well above 1000 degree Fahrenheit continuous use tolerance.

Thanks for the replies guys. I was going to get some tips from autozone but they are just cheap and would probably just out again real quick, that's why I was thinking about painting them for something that lasts a little longer.

If I did get the magnaflow tips (they are stainless) does anyone know the measurements required for the stock SE tips. I measured about 3" ID and 7" long. Anyone confirm or know which magnaflow is right?

Also, any tips on where to get them. Will post pics if I paint

Those will fit fine! Just cut your existing itty bitty tips down to about 2-3" and butt the new tips all the way to the Muffler end plate and tack weld it in about 4 spots. Just make sure they're centered and the slant cuts are truly vertical! It's alot better than the Oem tip shroud...

+1 and

Go to an autoparts store, there should be a 12'by9' section of high temp paint.
