Engine Will Not Hold 2500 RPM Unloaded
Hi all, I have a 00 I30 that I am trying to get smogged but in rural California we need to run the engine at 2500 RPM no load for 30 seconds during the test and it either wants to run 3100 or fall off to 1800 or so. It will not stay steady in between. What could be the problem, I am thinking TPS, MAP, or most likely MAF? My OBD computer could give me readouts but I'd still be guessing, was wondering if anyone had the problem before.
