01 Automatic, 107,800 Miles. Bought her August 24th. She's my first Nissan, my FIRST CAR for that matter. I've only been driving since I was 30 (that's 6 years now), had, or, um, still have, a minivan. Timing belt blew 3 times this summer, so I got tired of that for a while, LOL. Saw this pretty gal for 5200, talked them down to 3500 and away we went. But, I didn't realize, she's been badly used and abused. Y'all will hopefully be helping me make her happy again

 

Congrats on your Max and welcome to the forums. As you can see last the last couple posts on this thread, maximas will go for 350k + miles if treated right. Did you get the GXE, SE or GLE model?

2000 Maxima SE, 5-speed, 147,000 miles. Pearl white/black leather, heated seats, Homelink, loaded out! Paid $1,000 for it at the dealership I work for when it was traded in. I'm 33, and this is my first Japanese car. I love the Max! I've had friends that have owned them over the years, and I like the car so much I'm going to keep driving it until it rusts away or blows up, whichever comes first!

2000 SE 5sp just got her a week ago with 166,XXX miles!

 

Got my 2000 SE about a month ago and it had just hit 100k. I like to stay in the no more than 10k a year range when buying a car. Although i've only had it a month and already put about 3k on it haha

 

got a '99 with nearly 65k.

 

2002 @153K.. I'm glad to see there are still so many going strong. I bought mine with 36K and have had her ever since.

The 2000 SE turned over 350,000 miles this week. Still runs great, wife went back to school so it does a 130 mile round trip interstate run 3 days a week as well as grocery getter. Still original engine, transmission, exhaust (getting a mellow growl to it,though). The Bose works fine, never changed a coil, wheel bearing, fuel filter/pump or O2 sensor, It has gone thru a MAF, IACV, radiator, several alternators and starters, one axle and last week, hp power steering hose. Uses less oil than my 2002 which now has 120,000 miles. It's only left me hanging twice, both times due to sudden starter death. Icelandic White and black trim still cleans up pretty nice.

Best car I've ever owned.
