2002 with 145k. Bought it in 2003 with 8k. Believe it or not but it still got the original spark plugs in it and will fire up on the first turn!

Purchased mine with 93,000km and ran it to 196,000km before changing out the plugs when I installed NWP spacers. The plugs in there were still the originals so it is possible to go past the recommend service changing them out at 160,000km

A friend of mine has a 3rd gen that was passed down to him from his dad when he bought it new. Over 300,000 miles on the original engine and transmission, and they've never been rebuilt.

Wow, it's great to see all the max's with the high mileage out there, I guess that's what alittle TLC will do. It's also suprising to see all the low mileage ones still out there. Here's hoping we all get to that 200k plus number!

IMO the 3rd and 4th gen was mechanicaly better. I had 1 of each, never had an issue no matter how hard i beat on it.

2000 Maxima SE 215k miles. No major repairs, just replaced starter today & noticed I need some new motor mounts. Engine is as strong today as it was when purchased 4 years ago with 120k miles.

Just picked up a 5G. 2001 SE 20th Anniversary edition, 4AT with 194K (kms).

The car is my winter beater for summer i have my toy (2007 Acura TL Type S 6MT). I like the Max its a nice car, rides well, decent sound system and cheap and easy to maintain.
