Buttons not lighting up.

The lights in the buttons for the heating/AC are all not working. It started off with one light, and now all the buttons are not lighting up. I haven't started taking anything apart yet, thought I ask to see if this is a common problem. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the link. very helpful. I think I might start by checking my fuses, and work my way for there.

do you have any LEDs or aftermarket HID bulbs in your car? if the fuses check out, try switching the bulbs temporarily.. i had the same issue on 2 maximas, and switching to regular bulbs solved the problem

All my bulbs are stock, no LED mods. They may just be blown.

if it's just the lights, it's the bulbs.

time to mod it with LEDs....

while your at it, make the display for the AC and clock white, its better then that green.

Just go to a party supply store and get dark red celophane, its like $2 and cut a small piece out, lick it and stick it on the screen.

Im not too knowledgeable is all these LED mods. It's not as easy as just replacing the bulbs with leds?

actually it is, you can get the 3mm LEDs on ebay of any color you want with the resistor you need. Solder the led to the resistor, and then I fit the led to the bulb holder like the bulb was, it worked just fine.
