Acceleration problems... please help!

Last weekend, I changed my MAF and Fuel Filter. It cleared the p0171 code and it took away the pinging. But it seems like the acceleration isn't as smooth and loose as it is suppose to be. It feels like there is some lag. And it feels like I am driving a 4-cylinder car.

Today, when i was driving to work, i notice low metal clicking noise on the front passenger side when i accelerate. But the noise is so low that you can't hear it when you drive on the highway.

By the way, I didn't do the ECM reprogram. Only had the battery cable off when I changed the MAF.

Could it be tranny problems? Appreciate the help!
