Bose Display

I own a 03 mAxima
Yesterday while i was driving i notice that i was getting alot of static from the left speaker.
and its only coming from the left side, abd when im playing a CD.
When i listen to the radio or play my ipod the speakers work fine, but when i play my CD player the left sides acts up. SO anyway while it was playing i tapped the radio display! i hit ( tapped ) it several times and the freaking display for the headunti turned off... Sucks...
Everything in the car is working fine except for the display.
Is this a simple fix, like replacing a fuse or do i have to remove the entire headunit and become tech on this crap.
PLEASE ADVISE
THANKS

sounds like you knocked out your head unit mr. tyson. lay off the weights for a little while...

if it is working still (the sound) then your fuses are fine. sounds to me like your wire harness might be loose or something of that nature. pull out the deck and check all connections. im sure you can find some pictures or a how-to somewhere on this site.

same prob

did you manage to fix your display?
I had the same problem as you; only when I'm playing a CD does the left side act up. My display is out now, thanks to my "tapping". I'm glad I remember my presets.

I remember there was a thread on this topic, on how to fix the stactic from the speaker.
To fix that u would have to open the headunit and get ur hands dirty.
something with a loose wire or connect!
At this point i could care less about the cd player becasue i use my ipod and radio all the time...
**** but i want my dsiplay back
i will get my hands dirty this week...
i will return soon
