First Trip to the Dyno, Is this about right?

I took my first trip to the Dyno today. I was just wondering if my results were about right for my mods and if anybody sees anything worth mentioning. My mods are a Berk Intake and a Fidanza Aluminum flywheel in and 01 AE Max

You might want to post (or have mod move) this thread to the Dyno section.

nice, i was wondering what an 01 AE power looked like at the wheels. I also have an 01 AE with berk intake, magnaflow muffler, warpspeed y-pipe. i wonder with the y-pipe if I would hit the 200hp mark to the wheels.

So your only mods are the fidanza and the berk? If so, that's pretty decent. There are guys with intake, udp, and exhaust making less than you. Are you auto or manual? What gear were your runs in? You should certainly look into something to fine tune the AFR. You're running pretty rich once you get passed 4k rpms.

Get a y-pipe/w hi flow cat or headers/w Hi flow cat either I think will push you over the 200 whp mark!

Yeah, we both noticed it was really rich and were kind of puzzled by that. The first 2 runs were in 3rd gear and the last one was in 4th gear. The fidanza flywheel definately made a difference in the Butt dyno as well.

I have Cattman Headers w/ Y pipe, and the full cattman exhaust as well, hope to have them installed soon. VAFC-II on the way. Once those are in, I will take her back up there and we shall see how she does with exhaust, headers, and a good tune I should be well over the 200 mark w/ those mods, I could probably hit 200 with a tune on my current setup, especially once the car warmed up. (it was ()*&($*&%( COLD outside!)

I am also going to add a VQ30DET Intake Manifold to see the difference between that and the 00VI. Should be fun stuff.

let us know some more numbers when you get everything installed, it would help me out with mods.

yeah those numbers are right on mark...

You should hit 205-210whp with the headers and tune

Those are pretty good numbers,

Quick question, I actually am waiting on having my Fidanza flywheel installed, what were your impressions of it? (Sorry I don't mean to thread jack).

Awaiting results of the VQ30DET IM

The flywheel is great. It makes a difference throughout the midrange on the butt dyno especially in 2nd and 3rd gear. Its very nice

The VAFC-II should help you tune that low afr. I think a tune alone can get you very close to 200whp to be honest. Also for future runs, I would go for 4th gear. That should be the closest to 1:1.

The fidanza is an awesome mod. I had it on my s/c'er 4th gen. The throttle response is awesome.
