ECU SELLERS?

I googled maxima ecus and came up with a few. The cheapest one was $600, which is pretty good considering oem. I have a 6sp 2003 MT. No doubt this is a rebuilt one, but...anyone have an alternative?

might want to try calling Dave B he can get you a good deal on a new oem ecu if that is the direction you were wanting to go.

just curious, what makes you think you need a new ecu?

I don't know who Dave B is. I want another ECM because mine was programed by technosquare and I live in NYC. I've done lots of mods to the car and just dynoed it. The tuner couldn't crack technosquare's program (or wouldn't).

***sigh*** I know. Unfortunately, I have the 03 titanium edition with 6sp MT and LSD. ECMs for that model are hard to come by.

Yes, by my tuner using his software. My dyno was very dissapointing for all the work I had done on the car.

So your tuner has a CONSULT?

By reprogramming, he probably means the NATS system, which is correct.

That is, if you want your car to start.

And if you search, it's rather easy to find out who Dave B is. 1-888-254-6060.

We didn't get into it. I just know technosquare's program was proprietary.

Unfortunately, I don't have a fuel management system. I can't find the damn thing for my car anywhere online.
My mods are: cattman CAI, cattman headers and full exhaust back to the muffler. Only 1 CC. Rebuilt 3.5 with high dome pistons (190-200 psi) PP heads with HD bolts and gaskets, stillen underdrive pulley. Technosquare ECU flash remapping fuel curve, removing rev limiter and speed governer.
My best pull was 230 WHP with TQ@ 226 straight across.
BTW if I didn't mention 2003 titanium edition 6sp MT LSD 3.5.
I've been looking and looking for that Apexi piggyback-can't find it.
And I'll be dropping some Brian Crower PnP cams in.

What do you mean you can't find a piggyback anywhere?

Type APEXI or SAFC or VAFC in Google or eBay and there are a gazillion hits. Even in the Classifieds there's one on the very first page:

Reprogramming the factory ECM has nothing to do with TS and their reflash. Unless you are trying to make a copy of their reflash? Please clarify.

If you have the run files (if it was done on a Dynojet) or at least the printouts that you can scan and post, we may be able to help analyze things.

I didn't know it was universal. I thought I was looking for engine specific. I just talked to my tuner he advised a spare ECU also.

Whatever software they used to flash the first time is proprietary and can't be adjusted except by them. Hell, Nissan can reset the defaults, I wanted adjustments because it's running lean under 2k.

Yes I have them (dyno-jet). I'll scan and post. I expressed my displeasure to my tuner and he agreed I should be making at least 275. So help me, this sled will make 300+ NA if it kills me.

Mine makes more than that and it's auto w/ stock muffler. Can you get the actual runfiles? Did he use the tailsniffer for the AFR? Do you still have a catalytic converter?

It seems as if you're serious about making power and $$'s aren't really an issue. Have you looked into UTEC? How about datalogging software, such as AE or Cipher? How about a WB?

What's your wheel / tire combo?

That way you can really see what's going on & diagnose as such.

I don't understand any of those abbreviations.

AFR - air-fuel ratio
UTEC - piggyback engine management device made by TurboXS
AE - Autoenginuity scan tool with advanced sensor capabilities and datalogging
Cipher - UpRev Cipher, similar to above AE
WB - wideband O2 sensor and/or datalogger to see your air-fuel ratio

And yes, I can't tell much from the scan either, if you can have the dyno place email you the actual DynoJet run files, that would be better.

Yes, I asked them to do that. In the meantime I spoke to Tadashi @ TS so the brain is off to cali this weekend. He understood exacally what was to be done. Now, I need some help getting the brain out. I can't remember how I did it last time. I'm sure I removed the drivers side kick panel, but now I can't seem to do it. Help!

BTW, once I clear this up, I'll be dropping cams and an apexii so my tuner can do his thing.
