You have to bypass the transponder key in order to have the remote starter to function properly. Otherwise, the security software would assume the car is being stolen, will cut off the fuel and after a few attempts, lock up the system so you won't be able to start the car even with the original key. You'll have to unlock it.
IIRC, there are two different module, the one that you leave an original key copy in the box under dash at all times or the one than you program to mimic a transponder chip. I would advice the second one since its a bit safer since there is no key in the car for someone to break into it and drive off with your car, which is possible with the first option.
Are you planning on doing this yourself? Unless you know exactly what you're doing, I would recommend to have this professionally installed.
Good luck.

The module that holds a spare key locked in a box is the 556U.
The one that requires programming is Xpresskit.

The 556U is cheaper, and probably doesn't require you deal with software on your PC.
edit: also, this should be in the audio/electronics section, you would have gotten a much faster and knowledgeable response.
