STS for 2000-2001

Hey i remember a while back there was a write up on how to do the free sts for a 2000 maxima. But now i am looking but i cant seem to find it any where.
Also if anybody has done it what do you guys think of it and are you happy with it?

So does anybody know where the guide is on how to do the free sts?

Do you want a short shifter, or a short throw shifter?

There's no free way to make a STS for the 5MT unless you have access to welding equipment, a lathe, or machines like that.

You can make it a short shifter by just hacking a bit off and rethreading, or using a universal shift ****.

Or buy a proper one like B&M or something in the same vein.

They sell STS kits for both the 5MT and 6MT, did you get the wrong one? Did you read the product information before buying the thing?

Sorry to raise this dead post, but for the life of me i can't find a Stillen short throw shifter kit anywhere for the MT5. It appears as though it has been discontinued.

Does anyone have experience with these 'cheapies' found on ebay?
