If all the hoses match up (which they should, the intake isn't to hard to install) then consider the MAF. when you were putting in the intake did you drop the maf. or shake it a lot? Even though you cleaned it, it could still be damaged. Has the MAF ever been replaced on this car before? Also make sure you secured the intake on with no leaks and that everything is tight. Air leak in the intake system could cause this i think.

Thank you Guys,That is a great vaccum diagram.Everything on the intake is tight. The Mafs could be bad,I just ordered 1 from 1 of our member dealer,s I have never replaced it but have only had the car since November 08 I will double check the vacuum lines now that I have the diagram.

Who did you order from? You can get a new MAF from Dave B for ~$80.

I had the same code right after I cleaned and "Re-oiled" my Stillen Intake. Key word there is "re-oiled"... Some of the filter oil must have gotten onto the MAF Sensor because it gave me the P0174 Code. Instead of buying a whole new MAF, I cleaned it. I haven't had the code since. The cleaner worked great! and it was wicked easy.

just my .02.

I thinkThat it is the intake manifold gasket,I hear loud hissing on back of intake and I checked all the vacuum lines.Idles and runs fine exept for the code.

Can anyone tell me what that hose off the Swirl Control Valve Actuator is supposed to be connected to? Is it supposed to connect to vacuum or just stay open and unconnected, like shown? Thanks.

it should be connected to a metal connection directly above it

I don't have a metal connection. Do you know if its supposed to connect to vacuum or possibly air box?

it's supposed to connect to a vacuum line. if it doesn't open and close the baffles, your air/fuel ratio will be wrong under moderate to heavy acceleration.

it needs to be connected to a specific vacuum line because it's operated by the intake vacuum pressure for the variable air controls and swirl-control-valve/control-vacuum-check-switch. the vacuum line should be a small metal line that runs parallel above the fuel rail about 2" with a T off between cylinders 4 & 6.

I also got a P0174 error with engine idling rough. It got progressively worse to the point where the car almost stalls. I replaced the MAF and housing. My car runs like new - no issues now.
