O/D LIGHT FLASHING NORMAL??
hey just did a search and couldnt find anything about it but was wondering if anyone knew what the normal amount of flashes for the O/D light was? is there anyway of knowing what the flashes mean? Usually my O/D light flashed a few times but this time its looking like its flashing excessively more than usual.
Any ideas any codes ? I'm thinking my CAT is no good any way of knowing??

The O/D light will not indicate a problem with your converter, it only shows trans codes.
Use the procedure in the FSM (or just search for it on here) to pull the codes.
The same codes should be available via the CEL as well, so you could just check the codes with an OBD-II code reader.

It may also be the result of low transmission fluids or something of that nature; reasons for saying so I had ran over a down light pole on the highway and damage my transmission pan leaking the entire fluid on the side of the roadway. After a day I started the car after getting it towed to a garage and notice the O/D light flashing replace pan and refill fluid problem solved.
