Having problems wiring aftermarket headlights with halos
I have a 2001 and I'm attempting to wire halos to the parking light in aftermarket 2k2-2k3 headlights, but I'm having some trouble. This is what the back of the housing looks like...
I spliced the red halo wires into the white parking light wire on the back of the headlight, but no halos. All other lights worked properly. Then tried splicing red wires into the turquoise parking light, same results.
Do the red halo wires need to be spliced into the factory harness, before the aftermarket adapter? I don't see why that would make any difference but I'm not sure what else to do. If this is the case, there are 3 wires (red/yellow, black, green/black) going into the stock turn signal/parking light harness...which is the parking light +12v???
Also, unless I have somehow managed to get 4 defective halos between the two headlights, I am assuming I'm doing something wrong and the product isn't defective.
Thanks in advance for the help, this is driving me crazy

First off, test the halos on your battery...red at + and black at -....then after that you will need to find a known hot (most likely red) and a known ground or negative (most likely black) then splice there.....turn your parking lights on, find out which bulb turns on, then find the wires that go to that bulb......once you find the wires splice into them red being + black being -.....use a test light if you have one (or get one from radio shack) post again if you cant figure this out or if my drunk instructions make no sense

Correct. The black and green/black are the +12v and ground for the turn signal (shouldn't matter which is which). The red/yellow is the +12v for the parking light.
