Hi all

I have a P0171 code, which i am pretty sure is because of a vacuum leak,
my question is,

Is it okay if i drive with this code on,

I am planning to go to a beach, about 300 miles of driving on the highway.

is it safe???

well p0171 is for many things... i had same stubborn code for over 2 years, then i filled gas tank with shell premium 93 octane gas and lucas fuel injector, and sign went away in 2 mins, basically less than a mile from the gas station.
so my suggestion is try that first, then i guess clean out MAF sensor..

-I have always used 93 octane in my max,
-Just put the fuel injector cleaner 2 days ago.

i thought about cleaning the MAF, but dint want to mess it up more and i cant drive my car at all, and cant go to the trip, so i want to clean to MAF after the trip

My P0171 code comes on and goes off, its been doing that for the last 2-3 weeks, did that happen with yours??

any other suggestions???

No, car pings like hell, poor fuel economy and a freaking ses light that keeps giving the lean codes.I beleave i fixed my leak but the car still pings and i mean its is Severe, its worse the a diesel, it comes and goes, i dunno wtf it is............and i alway use shell 93 Octane.
