car shop question

I got a new catback exhaust for my 2000 maxima since my old one was rusted through. While the shop was replacing it they broke my o2 sensor heater and now have a code for p0141. Should i ask them to replace it or do i just need to buy a new one?

THEY are a professional shop which means THEY SHOULD be qualified enough to not know how to bring customers PARTS.

Raise hell.

lol they said it happens? Go back there asap and tell them that you don't care how often they break someones car, they still need to fix what they damaged. Don't ask them, tell them. ( nicely if you could)

Break*
lol, Point being man, accident or not. If you trust a shop to work on your car, than they gotta do a good job and not a half shi& job. Even if it's a half Shi* company.
I'm pretty sure if a certified shop breaks something they gotta fix it. Isn't there some law with that?
Go back dude and demand they fix it.

If they still dont wanna fix it, tell them that you will make a complaint to the consumer affair.

Not sure where the OP was, but up here, cars rust. They put salt on the roads, and things rust. Rust so bad that things break. The older the car, and the smaller the fitting, the more likely it'll snap off.

Want to know what will happen if everytime something breaks, the shop is automaticly liable?

The car goes on the lift, the mechanic takes a look....and the car comes down off the lift, and the keys are handed back to you.

"Sorry, too rusty, don't want to chance it."

And you're on your way...with a still broken car.
