I have a cattman cattback and the mid pipe section of it has rotten where the welds are right before you would bolt it together. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else and what would be a good replacement?

 

Welcome to the world of Maxima ownership. As of today and about 140k on the motor, I have had to replace everything from the cat on down to the muffler and repair nearly every weld prior to. Comes with the territory.

 

where can i get a new one?

 

weird cattman catback is s/s and shouldnt rust. my stock c/b rotted away AT 40k cattman replacement has been fine for 20k and going strong..

 

hmmm reliability of cattman huh... thats weired... get an exhaust shop to just weld a pipe there... shouldnt be too much from a local exhaust shop

 

Post some pics of that please! You must live in a totally corrosive enviroment for that to happen! Is the pipe damaged or just the weld and flange? Oh by the way which flange is it? There's one @ the cat, another 2 @ the resonator and the last @ the rear muffler...
