Anyone installed these on 2K2?

Going to place an order with courtesy but would like to see if anyone installed manual AE pedals on 2K2. How difficult is the install? AE door sills should fit, right? Also, did anyone install a courtesy FSTB on a 2K2 yet?

Thanks.

Should be the same, but I'd call Dave B. to see if the pedals are the same part number.

As for the difficulty on installing the AE pedals, they are a PITA until you figure out how.

The EASY part:
---------------
The gas pedal/arm is a complete unit and you simple push with your fingers from the back side of the cable until the plastic retaining snap comes through and the pedal is released. Unbolt the two 10mm bolts holding the spring/plate and intstall the new pedal.

The PITA part:
----------------
Slip off the brake and clutch(if 5-speed) covers. Slide the top part of the AE cover onto the pedal. Then use a VERY small flat head screw driver to slowly pry the remaining rubber lip around the edges of the pedal. I tried to use grease, heat, and finally I just had to pry to get them on.

I thought the gas pedal was going to be the hard part and the covers were going to be like 5 mins, boy was I mistaken.

I've got the AE (chrome) door sills on my '02 as of last week. Interestingly here in Canada they only cost $27 for the front and $23 for the rear for a total of $100 which translated to US dollars is only about $60!

Damnit, it's painfully clear that those of us who live in the US are getting ripped off when it comes to Nissan. It's such BS.

It's in the sticky "Parts" thread if you need it again.

I got my door sills from the dealer where I bought the car, Walkley Nissan in Ottawa on, you guessed it, Walkley Road. Call Frank in parts @ 613-521-6262 and mention my name. Don't forget to have your interior colour code ready (eg. for the gray leather interior of a Gray Lustre car it's "W"). BTW, I didn't mention the PST and GST which amounts to 15%.

The 20th AE door sills fit. The pedals should fit. I'll be ordering them soon. I don't know about Courtesy for the AE stuff, I've seen/heard of better deals on this forum. As for the FSTB, I really can't see it having enough room to clear the top on the engine. I spoke to someone from Courtesy about it and they told me that there was a problem - but I've also seen posts where people have mentioned that they heard that it fits. I'm going to wait it out until I know someone has it on their 2002.

http://www.nissanparts.cc/ has the AE pedals for cheaper than Courtesy.
Part #18005-4Y900 for gas.
46531-AB010 for auto brake.
46531-AB000 manual trans brake and clutch.

http://www.custommaxima.com/ should have them in stock in about a week. I don't know about the price but he seems to have some good deals on there.

Hope this helps.

Matt

I'm assuming that you have the AE sils, but was wondering how much you paid, cause I'm in the US and I paid 60 dollars for the four. So the prices are pretty much the same.

Courtesy FSTB

I have installed the FSTB on my 2K2 SE, and had no problems. I did however have to rotate the middle bar forward slightly to avoid pinching the left windshield washer hose off (would not squirt washer fluid otherwise).

3800 miles, not a squeak or a rattle, and over 28MPG. What a car!

I just ordered AE side sills for $49.59 shipped!! You can't beat that price! Heres the link to the site: https://www.nissan-accessories.com/PP.asp?PID=278 . Looks like the side sills are cheaper in the US then in Canada after all .
