airbag light flashing
airbag light flashing
on the way to the store my airbag light wasnt on. i come out 15min later and drive down the st and the airbag light starts flashing. my dad is trying to tell me its the piece of broken glass stuck in my seatbelt buckle from when my car was broken into. But i think hes to old to know anything about cars with computers. the bag isnt guna blow in my face is it otherwise im not guna drive it till its fixed.
I'd just try to reset it if it comes back after reseting it you may have something wrong and should probably have it checked out. Here is the procedure, it is however the procedure for an Altima so I'm not sure it will work, but I don't see why not. This is a frequent problem with my wifes Altima which after 2 trips to the stealership remains unresolved.
1. Turn the key from off to on.
2. Watch the airbag light closely. It will stay on for a few secs. and then as soon as it goes out (just before it relights ie blinking starts) turn it off
3. Wait 5 seconds
4. Repeat steps 1-3 two more times for a total of 3 times.
5. Now turn the key on and watch the light. It will start blinking but it will not be the same it should be much slower if you did the procedure right you know it when it starts, probably about 2 seconds between on/off . This is diagnostic mode. Give it a few minutes to go through the diagnostics.
6. Now turn the key off again and wait another 5 seconds. If the procedure worked, the airbag light should go out.

probably means there is a problem with the system. Just like if your cel is on and you reset it and it comes back on. I dont know the diagnostic procedure but i am sure there is one. Try searching or maybe someone will chime in with one. The FSM might have some more helpful info as well
