vias repair question

2k max with 174k.

I want to FINALLY want to inspect/fix my VIAS. i'm trying to explain to my friend who will do it why it broke etc. He works for a non-nissan stealership and wants to know why if its broken it hasn't thrown a code

anybody have a answer to this, because i need to take my friend down a couple of pegs and get him to fix this.

oh lol sry didnt notice that.

It wont throw a code because it isnt wired to any sensors. It just functions off the vacuum line. You could probably take it off and fix it yourself depending on how its broken. Inspect the vacuum line and seal. Also take off the valve and test to see if you can figure out whats not working. Could just be a spring or blockage in the line maybe.
