Look inside the cap. There's a flat part. It lines up with the flat part of the treaded rod.

I have no clue what you're talking about. This is not that hard to figure out.

The cap only goes on one way. Then the small red tip at the top of the rod is the arrow/adjustment screw. You use a small flathead to turn it to the different numbers that the cap is labeled with. Cap stays stationary while the tip of the rod turns.

i understand that part, the thing is my rear struts rods have a flattened area on one side (top the top) and dirrectly opposite of it has about 3 threads from the top and then it has a smaller flat area that is shaved off then the treads again. so the red plastic cap can fit on both ways.

the cap should fit only one way, if they are illuminas.... try this form the top look for the FLAT part of it and align it with the flat part of the cap. It should go in like really easy

okay, well i tried to put them on and heres the result.

one side if i put the plastic piece on it can still come off, but if i put it the other side, it stays and clicks in. when i saw the pics off the installtion, it instructed to do the opposite as in put it in the way that it can slide off.

shoo, i hope im not too confusing, sorry and thanks!!

i'll try ta get pics up

To OP, the caps sit pretty loose. It is very easy to make them sit on the top without being properly lined up. Just take them off and make sure the flat part of the strut at the top lines up properly to the flat part inside the cap.

if you have to use to much force on the caps your doing it wrong...just a tad bit of pressure is required to get the red caps down
