Word. I'm getting tired. This projects going on two days now.
But that's mostly because I've had work, and I'm doing it on jack stands, which is making it terribly annoying to get at different bolts.
I'm just gonna go beat the hell out of my heat shield. I can always find another one if I ever go back to stock...

I did mine on jackstands as well, and I feel your pain on that. It was a PITA.

If your happiness hinges on 1 horsepower at a time, let me recommend a different platform than a 2000 Maxima. You'll be way happier with a LSX equipped vehicle!

How'd ya'll get at the rear manifold bolts? From on top or underneath the car? I need to find a way to get that O2 sensor out, too...

What type of idiot puts 3.0 headers on a 3.5?
my money is on the 6spd. stock for stock and mod for mod they are proven faster. thats just fact, not sure on ur skillz at the track but u seem to run the norm in times, so u will be counting on driver error just sayin.....

I feel u but from what I remember the worlds fastest maxima is an auto... I'm just saying... mod for mod in our na 5.5 world a 6spd is faster, and agin I don't care about mod for mod, i I'm taking on all NA (whatever NA mods in the maxima world) 5th gen.... I do however realise that u are having a blast

Other than that others have also proved that the obx headers run with the best of them...my boy phantom-v put down 255 and shift_123456R put down 257...soooooooooo what does that tell and yal still look look stupid for trying to bash them....jus worry about what u have and if someone ask a question about your cattman headers then help them out.if someone ask about obx headers then let someone who has experience with obx headers help them out....it would make obx vs cattman **** a whole lot better. I will gladly and I mean gladly prove once again obx headers are worth buying......LINEITTEFCUKUP!!!!!

Lol...man I refuse to get involed with this argument again...I proved the headers are prolly the best bang for the buck last year...247 untuned with a 14.2afr

If you're referring to me, though, it doesn't take me owning OBX to have dimensions on the diameter of the Y-pipe and pictures of the collectors. They do put down great power and that has been easily proven, but when someone brings up the inferior Y-pipe everybody jumps down their throat because "cattman" is in their sig... LOL @ that.
I guess if OBX was in my sig and I said "well the OBX has a 2.25" Y-pipe, and cattman has a 2.5" that has to count for something" would you guys not get offended?

I can only speak for what i have... and i have 3.5 headers on my 3.0l.... i dyno'd 231 with my 3.5 and 3.5 headers and cutout... i havnt dyno'd the 3.0l yet and i still have the 3.5 headers i still have the cutout but i added a 2.5 in megan catback and a sp2 knockoff muffler..... but anyways to me headers will be headers!!!! Just Do some RESEARCH... also the OP asked 3.0 headers or 3.5 headers not a comparison between "cattman" and "obx".... IMO they are worth the money...

Sparks is very knowledgeable so he must be referring to the collectors before the y-pipe. Probably just a misinterpretation.

I will only say this....... I do own Cattman headers. Im not bias I have my own reasons, SOME people care about more than peak numbers. The OBX V2 headers were not out when I bought the Cattmans. I dont know if I would buy a brand new set of Cattmans again though.

If i buy Jerry's headers and the y is 2.25 (which my OBX isnt) and it costs 200 and i dyno 150whp, then i buy Toms headers for 450 and it has 2.5" y with a thicker looking pipe but dynoed 150whp then what the hell does it matter?????
What im saying is that i agree on cattmans quality fitment and all the shinanigans, but there is no proof that cattman made more power over OBX, NONE... every car dynoes something different and what we have to work with is a ball park range and not some exact number... but what gets me the most is that OBX header threads always get nasty cause of some dumb post about cattman... im going to make it a point for whenever i see a cattman header thread im going to jump in with "I LOVE MY OBX HEADERS" then leave... how does that help, seriously...

To clear things up about jaypee, we are not rivals in any respect other than being the 2 quickest active 5.5 gens. I've never even talked to the guy, although he seems pretty cool and he's a helluva driver whereas I've openly admitted on multiple occasions that I am not.

Grand_hustle17 calls out all N/A 5.5gen thats not from the DMV (DC, Maryland, Viginia) tri state area... whats so bishy bout that??? Lemme inform the forum seeing as though u wanna act like u dont know why i said what i said.................. Maxima.org there was suppose to be a MD vs NC showdown at one point... Jaypee99 vs sparks was suppose to be the match up, Kingjames vs Grand_hustle17 (im sure some remembered that cause that was in the 5th gen section also) datdude20 vs a couple of others and so on and so forth hence why i keep bringing up jaypee's name... i know sparks probebly never accept the challenge and never thought about it but thats the main reason i keep brining it up................
