yea i was thinking that exact same thing literally because i listened to clips on youtube yesterday of 00-03 max's & i was really trying to listen for differences haha but yea some w/ your headers, some with your catback & some with full exhaust headers to catback. but like NmexMAX said we tend to ask anyway

letting you all know that I got in on this yesterday. Spoke to Brian and paid in full just to get it out of the way and make sure that I was being legit with this and not just calling "dibbs" on it. Cant wait. Also got the jim wolfe intake as well. Super psyched.

Ya, really looking forward to the 3" too. Did he say how many orders he has for this next batch now? One closer to the 8-9 needed w/ your order...Gotta be > halfway, should only need a few more people to get in this batch then on to production. Don't think about it any longer! Give Brian a call

I finally installed mine this afternoon, what a pain it is to remove the oem system. lol. Air wrenches and cutting torches are your friend. Once that's over with, installation is cake. I used the stock hangers and no fitment issues or banging what-so-ever. I have stock headers (I will be installing a cattman y-pipe later) so its not LOUD but still sounds awesome. I think it was was Sparks03max that mentioned a droan aorund 2400k-2600k, which is pretty much spot on but it's bearable.

Finished my install today, biggest pita was removing all the stock exhaust pieces that had rusted solid. But it really wasn't that bad with the car up on blocks, and with the cross member/motor mounts removed. I had to use the cutting torch on the old cat and to heat off some of the stud nuts on the rear manifold.

With everything hooked up boy is it loud (headers>y>fastcat>catback) The tone really is fantastic and it was much louder than I expected. It gets very quiet if you baby the gas though which is nice.

But seriously it does DRONE A LOT on the highway with my set up. However thats totaly not a problem for me as I used to own a 5.0 mustang. It was turning heads all today while I was driving around.

I have a quick question for anyone who has this installed. Does the B-pipe sit a lil' low? I was getting the mail and my driveway has a fairly steep grade so in essence you can somewhat see under the car and I noticed this. My first thought was the hanger crapped out on me already but then I realized the muffler is still level, so that couldn't be true. I laid down and sure enough the hangers are fine, so my only idea is that I need to adjust that band-clamp (dunno what the real name is) that is over the rear axle and tighten the hell out of it but I don't know how much play there really is...I appreciate any insight.

This was the best pic I could get, its with my iphone so it's not great. I took it quick because its 90 here and my driveway was hot lol. I went over somespeed bump and it doesnt rub or anything but just wanted to make sure....

Does this resonator makes a difference which way it flows? Anybody?

Yeah I did, I saw that in a post by cattman earlier too. All the autoparts stores by me blow, so im gonna order new hangers. Dont think thats the issue but they're cheap. Im not too worried about it b/c I dont have any exhaust leaks and it not scraping anything but I dont want it to get worse. Later today I am gonna loosen that band clamp and then put a jack under that exhaust see if I can move it up and then tighten the every living crap out of it. lol.

I just thought of something the braided part of my Y-pipe is pretty much crap. I wonder if that being f'ed up would result in my exhaust sitting low?

Tedo007: I dont think the resonator has a direction flow or anything, that weld dot is more for orientation to it to line up correctly.

my next concern is that the tips on the cattman was apparently rubbing against the stillen rear lip i have, and it melted the poly urethane on the right tip. does anyone know how i can clean the stuff off with out messing up the stainless finish?

Go to NAPA and get those Walker Hangars out of thier exhaust catalog they're just as good as those overpriced Nismo's @ 1/3 the price! The flex section F'd up b/c it's a Stillen product and thier flex sections have always been an issue......

No.....Buttttttttt! The front flange has a slight angle to it...it's not a 90 degree angle.....and if you installed the resonator in backward it would rub like crazy on the front frame mount!

My y-pipe is OEM, I have cattman y-pipe...I just gotta install it. Yeah I think those hangers are like $4/each. I'll have to find a napa by me.

You'll have to extend that rear O2 sensor....you'll enjoy it....Has a flatter sound than headers do.....headers burble and gurgle with tip-in and lifting off the throttle....sounds sporty to me! GL

Yeah, I knew about having to extend that O2 sensor b/c the person I bought it (the y-pipe) off of never installed it, so it's still nice and shiny and came with all the gaskets and instructions. Ironically, last month my car started throwing a code and it turns out that its that particular O2 sensor crapped out, so I think I may buy a universal 4-wire O2 sensor and kill two birds with one stone.

I actually had a set of headers. I got them dirt cheap but they were like OBX v1 or something. lol. I changed my mind and sold them for what I paid for them, e-subliminal bought them. I think he dyno'ed like 243hp or something. Oops, lol. I really wasn't looking forward to the install anyway. I think I saw a thread saying that Cattman's y-pipe yields about pretty 1/3 of the hp that headers do, so about 9whp. Ill take it.

As far as the resonator component goes, no it doesn't matter, but resonator section has to be installed just one way, look at post #443. Welding bead should be oriented at 12:00.
