So I got my ss y-pipe installed a few weeks ago, and I must say i do enjoy the little added horsepower a lot, but with my greddy evo2 catback, it does sound like crap. I miss the smooth rumble of the evo2, now with the y-pipe, its a deep almost sti-ish sound but not very refined. The drone is too much and I would just prefer a smooth sounding car than having a few extra horses. So my question is, since my old y-pipe was rusted to **** and had to be cut in half to be removed. Where do i find an original y-pipe? Or if you guys have any other ideas on how i can achieve that smooth sound again while keeping my y-pipe and catback. Thanks!

VERY MUCH SO!!! i freaking love my ypipe.

fyi wheni first had mine done, i just had warpspeed ypipe all the way back w/ 2.5" piping to my cattman axleback...i had the horrible rasp and the car was super loud...i got a cherry bomb resonator from an org member...OMG...best of both worlds. crusing at 70mph, shoot even 80, the car is quiet...IMHO find you a long resonator man

Summit racing has Magnaflow products @ lower prices than Magnaflow has them priced! Thrush Glasspacks use perforated cores and they offer a T304 SS unit that will more than likely suit your needs...

Yeah its a 5th gen cali spec. And I guess the best way to go is using a resonator. Unless anyone has a like new stock y-pipe in central jersey?
