Hey guys, got a question again and i need the gurus to give me some suggestions.

I got a 02 6 spd 5.5 Gen. Recently i found out that the exhaust gas comes out of only one of two tail pipes (comes out of the right pipe, and the left pipe doesn't spit out any gas). I was wondering if anybody else has encountered this issue. I can't figure out the reason for this strange occurrence and would really appreciate some help from the forum.

That's normal....its a variable volume exhaust muffer....low speed one port only, at high speed WOT both ports are flowing exhaust.....

 

someone did a cutaway of the oem muffler not to long ago, there is a flap on a spring that opens up once you reach a certain pressure
