I wonder if the two piece b-pipe works with the OEM rear section.

It looks like it should.

That was actually my plan.

Buy the eBay catback just for the b-pipe and ditch the rice muffler for my stocker.

I might even get it welded if I have to, but the flanges do look like they are in the same spot.

Response to a few comments.

I noticed most all of the 4" tip eBay cat-backs came with silencers and almost none of the 4.5" tip eBay cat-backs did. Mine is the 4.5" and did no come with a silencer or the screw hole in the tip.

I did use the supplied gaskets but not sure how long they will last. Even the NAPA versions I've bought in the past didnt last long. Might go OEM for replacements if so desire (and if leak occurs).

From what I could tell based on visual inspection and quick measurements, it appears the b-pipe is about 2" shorter than the OEM b-pipe. This also means the rear section is approx. 2" longer than OEM. There will possibly need to be some modifications done if you want to use b-pipe with OEM rear section muffler.

Nismopc is correct most of the 4" catbacks come with the silencer. It even says it on this one.

I dont understand why the 2.25" would be bad. It still fits oem right? and there can't be much more gain from a 2.5" pipe

Just a side note. The OEM b-pipe is less than 2" inner diameter. These eBay exhausts, at a minimum, have a 2.25" inner diameter.

Mines 2.5"... for $140.00.. And it did come with a silencer, and a fartcan. Which I chopped off and put a dual tip. The res on the ebay one is pretty much garbage, So I have a shop tap weld some silencers in both about 2" open each. Post pics tomorrow, too lazy now

Edit: Just so you know, have a good shop do the cutting and welding because the ebay "stainlesS" is cheap quality, and very easy to mess up on.
