try it with 35% on the whole front windshield crazy dark. thats why i did the retro on my 4th gen cause i couldnt see anything at night but i a sunny summer day it was nice. Id have to put on sunglasses when i got out of the car it was so dark.

I've had my last three cars tinted in Mass
car 1 (94 taurus sho) - 35% tint, way too light for my liking
car 2 (96 taurus sho) - 20% tint front & back at a place in dorchester, ma about 5 years ago; charged a little extra (like $250) & no receipt due to illegal tint
car 3 (03 maxima) - purchased in RI w/ 10% or so front & back; the guy that does my yearly inspection hasn't giving me any problems.

Somehow, I have never been pulled over in Mass (knock on wood) over the last 7 years or so, so I have no experience w/ a cop giving me issues. A friend of mine swears that he won't tint his windows above 35% because a neighbor cop will bust him on it.

 

Whatever you do please dont do multi shade tinting.. that crap is so ugly.. dark rear and light up front.. and make sure the tinter is taking off your door panels and going a few inches lower with the tint.. this ensures no peeling of the tint after x amount of time winding up and down your windows.

 

I like going with 5% all around I'm in Cali. limit for driver and passenger are 15% I think, I rolled for like 2yrs. without getting stopped with my 00' now a 03' got to get it done cause its factory tint thats fading purple!
