Weekend project

Finally going to get around to replacing my front and rear valve covers and gaskets. They are leaking oil into the spark plugs so its a must. $96.00 shipped for both covers and both gaskets. 6th gen of course...

What years specifically do those valve covers cover?

Is it 04,05 or?

Was just curious, I'm going to run the 6th gen valve covers if I ever end up replacing mine.

I think 04-08 is considered 6th gen. But as we all know the 6th gen valve covers fit the 5.5 gen as well and are built better and a lot cheaper. $137.00 for 5.5 gen valve covers vs $35.00 for 6th gen. Can't explain the price difference but buy 6th gen and save money.......

Agree.
I just know the 2004 model year is on its own for some things and wasn't sure if the valve covers changed throughout the 6th gen production years.

It's like the 5gen vs 5.5gen MAF

Us 5.5'ers are getting screwed!

Good thing we know the work arounds

Damn! Wish I'd have known this a month ago when I had a shop replace them for me.
