6th gen BBK question

I have been searching everywhere and couldn't find the info I needed.

I am doing the upgrade and wanted to get SS lines as well, what is the difference between the 5.5 gen and 6th gen SS brake line kits?

Which one should I get?

I assume the hard lines are the same size fitting so maybe the difference is just length.

I know that most people say their stock hoses work but since I am ordering the lines I was wondering what I should get.

Thanks!

If you're using 6th gen calipers, wouldn't you need 6th gen lines?

I didn't have to change lines when I did my A34 upgrade.

you would think...

But as Nmex said he didn't change, I just want to know what the difference is for the SS lines.

I didn't change either when going from 5th to 6th gen caliper.

Thus, I wonder if it would have been a ''nice to have'' while doing tha swap..

Well, I ordered the 6th gen lines.

I will report back to see what the difference is between them and the stock lines.

I am not familiar with 6th gen calipers. Maybe the thread pitch is the same as 5.5 gens.

When i ordered the SS lines, they sent me the 6th gen ones, but they didn't fit. the 6th gen front lines are much shorter than the 5th gen ones. So i had to send them back and got the 5th gen lines. Hope this helps.

I hope you can change the order before they ship it.
