Of course it does. The focus is on 5th gen engine bays, but that right there means 2 different configurations anyway.

Let's see. Show it off.

Hookay then. This is not the latest engine bay shot. Since then I have changed the coolant return hose to a black silicone. The rest of the bay still looks the same but I do have some ideas in mind.

And to think what that setup can do inside a lightweight 4th gen. That's an amazing sight. It truly is.

I wonder if that IM would clean up with some elbow grease and metal polish? Of course, you could also take it to a shop for professional blasting and polish.

Love the custom radiator tie-downs, and the red anodized aluminum pieces on the Turbo, particularly with the red rubber couplers.

Shift_Max, consider me duly impressed. Well done, sir.

(OAN, ditch the yellow reservoir caps.)

Thanks

My next step is to actually replace the yellow reservoir caps with black ones as well as the red couplers. And then do something about the manifold and the faded valve covers.

My Gawd Shift Max that is one very sweet looking Turbo setup you have in there, I am super impressed. A few more minor tweaks as you have suggested and swap a few more bolts for some purdy Titanium ones and the Holy Sh$t ... great job

HOLY CRAP!!!!!

If you want to do something about the valve covers you can get new ones and paint them red to match the red theme you got there. Just a suggestion. I also believe that z toyz website sells caps for the brake fluid, steering wheel fluid, radiator, windshield fluid....you can order those in red and it will make things look good. Again, just another suggestion.

Shift_Max, ditch the blue accents. Stick with red, black and silver.

Did you really need to wrap the upper radiator hose?

And hey, where's the battery?

I didn't realize so many people did heavy mods to a 4 door sedan like this... mine is just a DD completely stock... my toy is my 383 stroker, but glad to see there is so much available to make my DD faster!

Thanks for the advice.
The battery is in the trunk.
The upper radiator hose was an experiment with the heat film. I don't know if I should keep it or remove.

Not at this moment

So I placed an order for the black coolant and brake fluid reservoir caps. For those that are interested in buying some, I found them listed under the 2009
+ Nissan Murano.

Here are the part numbers for the two black murano caps:

brake fluid cap 46020-AL600 ~$11.00
coolant reservoir cap 21712-79900 ~$5.00

Go to nissanpartsasap.com for best price.

Opinions on this radiator cap cover? Red anodized aluminum, fitted to clamp directly over the OEM cap.

I kind of like it. If anything were appropriately red, it's the radiator cap.

Ebay, here's the link. Search the phrase "radiator cap cover".

So you like it? I rather do too, which is why I threw it out there. It's really inexpensive, want to guinea pig the cap?

Things like this are from ebay stores (not private sales) that live and die based on having a +99% customer feedback. In this context, your fears are misplaced. I've bought countless dozens and dozens of little stuff like this off ebay in the last few years, and only once have I ever had an issue. In that case, the seller went out of business after I placed my order, and ebay support refunded my $20 or whatever it was.

@customlowz - thanks for the reminder and the pics.

The cap looks somewhat large and out-of-place, while at the same time looking attractive and appropriate. I don't know where the disconnect is. Maybe it's the Maxima engine bay layout. I need to let this rattle around in my head for a while.

Did you need to use any adhesive on the cap, or is the little allenhead retainer screw enough?

I had bought the oil cap AND radiator cap with the Nismo sticky on it. Its some peel off adhesive GARBAGE that actually fell off (maybe due to the heat under the hood or whatever). The one on the oil cap kinds stay on, but the one on the radiato just keeps falling off, maybe its the heat. I thought it was better to pay $20 for a nismo cap than to pay $80 for the REAL Nismo oil cap. I plan on getting rid of BOTH of them and just getting the OEM Nismo stuff. No more stickers for me. Anyway the logo looks exactly the same and I would assume its the same adhesive. I'm sure others probably have the same adhesive and had no problems, but I know how particular you are because you dont like cheap crap and if you did get it and it fell off you would be highly disappointed just like I was!

That ebay cap looks out of place IMO.

I have bought the authentic Nismo radiator cap and oil cap and it has been a couple of years. No issues with it and still looks brand new.

I took someone's engine bay shot and shopped what it could look like.

Hmm. I'm on the fence. It looks like something I should buy and play with. It's a solid aluminum piece... I bet it could be painted gunmetal so that it blends, rather than stands out in red.

Rochester i think you should invest in a home powdercoater for $100 from eastwood.com then you can do any color you want anytime you want it.

Look at what I just found on Amazon. I like the looks (online, at least) better than the red one from a few posts ago. I just ordered it in gunmetal. And a couple dozen VMS fender washers (in black) for the engine bay.

When I got the gunmetal VMS Fender Washers in last week, I decided they would look best with the license plate frame, and that black works better in the engine bay. So two packs of 10 in black.

Niiice dude. Post the link i may try this also, this is the best looking rad cap i've seen so far. Too bad they wrecked it by putting so much writing on it. Wonder if that can be removed easy..... or coverd up cleanly with something else.

That red one is hideous, IMO.

Search Amazon on VMS Radiator Cap.

Often stuff like this comes with the center sticker separate. That's how I'm hoping this comes, because I'd also like it without all the writing in the middle. I guess I'll find out next week.

And yes, I'm dressing up the G's engine bay a little bit. But just a little.

it's all good, better to do it now while it's still pristine, easier to keep it that way.
or at least, sounds like something to help 'reason' these little mods out. I'd run with it.

Post results about sticker mounted/unmounted!

Have you thought about doing the simple wire tuck on the big loomed wires that come out of your battery area?

Haha, I knew it would happen! Knowing what ur max looked like under there, I can only imagine what this is going to look like.

Also, I do not believe the "little bit" part of your post. We all know it gets addicting...

Not really, but I have noticed them. Huge freaking snakes all zip-tied together.

To be honest, my garage isn't heated, and it's still winter. Plus, it's only been a month, and I was away on vacation for half that time. My point being, I've got all kinds of valid excuses for not obsessing over the car yet.

But I'll get there.

Yeah no doubt. I will likely skip this task on mine but mainly because the car's black so you don't really see them. They really pop in your bay (I know pictured isn't your actual bay).
