How much did you pay for that? MSRP is $245 isn't it? Seems ridiculously priced...

The "Dragon Intake" from Weapon-R lists at $152 from the manufacturer, which is cheaper than Berk, and you get a chrome mid-pipe.

As to performance... it can't be any better or worse than all the others, in that it's a standard mid-pipe extender with some couplers and clamps and an extremely silly-looking pop-charger.

Which, BTW, looks virtually identical to their "Secret Weapon" intake, listing for $245:

Pretty tacky stuff, IMO. With stupid product names trying to entice little boy ricers.

Go ahead and post a video. No one is stopping you.

Here's one.

Here's another.

IDK, man, they don't sound particularly good, and they look really silly.

I'll say this for Weapon-R: strolling through their website and finding out more about them had the unintended side-effect of elevating my opinion of Stillen. At least they don't market their products with glam models and stoopid product names.

Not that there's anything wrong with models. It might even be effective, if they weren't so silly looking.

I'll stick with my DIY'er. It looks nice, sounds nice and was about 1/4 the price of that WR and I can say, "I made that"

To the OP: Can you post a vid? I've always thought all SRIs sound about the same on Maximas.

I've razzed you pretty hard... well, mostly Weapon-R, but you indirectly.

However, that actually looks and sounds pretty good.

the air filter comes apart so can clean the filter.

Doesn't look too bad, but for that price I'd rather just piece an intake together myself.

OP, you should make that somewhat more of a true cold air by taking a hose and attaching it to the top of that filter and run it through the splash shield like in the second video on post #9.

Not trying to thread-jack or anything, but if you do a diy intake, where do you get the MAF adaptor? I plan on getting a blox/bpi velocity stack and an AEM dryflow filter.

You can get some really nice MAF adapters on....

..eBay. Surprisingly. I found a nice aluminum one for my Z, which, consequently, has the same MAF adapter we have, when I was piecing together my CAI.

This is the one I bought...

I have the same exact one and although it is smaller diameter than the factory MAF, I don't have any issue with using it. Absolutely great quality.

Not bad. I'm actually thinking of replacing the Injen CAI for this WR one.

The Injen CAI was already installed on the Maxima when I bought it. It's pretty trashed already. I think this will be a great time for a change and I'd much rather have a short ram.

Everybody has their opinions about SRA but nothing makes much of a difference. Z-Powered is right, everything sounds the same on a maxima so don't buy something for the sound. And the performance gains are so minimal on our car that there is little to no difference between a 25 dollar autozone cone filter or a 200 dollar wr. I put mine together for a little over 40 dollars and I bet it's just as good as these flashy branded kits.

My 80$ JWT gave me + 23whp. Maybe it was a fluke, maybe it was the headers that so desperately needed an intake for them to really shine. Who knows.
