Can a tune make the difference for me?
Ok, so I went to the track about a month ago and here's what happened:
I'm at 3500ft altitude so just for discussion purposes I'm gonna use my DA corrected times. I had an E/T of 14.7 and a trap speed of 94mph... Considering all my mods (full Cattman, etc.) I was a bit disappointed... Granted, my car's a 4AT, but still!
So I just was looking at some approximate wheel horsepower calculators that calculate based on weight, E/T and trap speed, and the consensus that I've come to is that my car's putting out around ~220whp... maybe a little less...
So here's my question: I just got my VAFC II, and I'm getting a wideband so I can tune my AFR to a straight 12.8-13.2 (according to sparks03max, that's what an NA VQ35 likes, and I trust him)... I know my car's running rich... so do you think a tune will significantly increase my hp, E/T, and trap speed?
It seems to me, when our cars make as little horsepower as mine is making with all my mods (there's nothing wrong with my car that I know of), it's probably running super rich, and often in cases like this, I've read of a tune upping horsepower by as much as 20+. Is this possible?
Thanks for any help/comments...

Yep you are right, yeah jowo your traps are low. My car stock and my boys 02 auto trapped at 96 something totally stock (he is no longer stock and traps at 98.** something now on tune) he had me beat by .02mph when stock.

A good tune can be the most important part of making power. Correcting fuelling will give more power, optimizing timing will make even more; just like ˅˅˅˅˅˅˅˅˅˅˅˅.
