They tried to steal my baby
I became worried when I couldn't open the driver's door from the outside, after pressing the remote's unlock button. The lights blinked as usual. I heard the lock mechanism click.
Then I noticed the driver's outside door lock (the oval assembly surrounding the door handle)was pried away from the body, on the right side, by about 1/8". I don't think the low-lifes got in, and fortunately there doesn't seem to be any other damage.
I wonder if the panic alarm went off, and that's what stopped them.
Anybody know if tampering will activate the audible alarm this way?

I have the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) and it clearly shows the Coded Key receiver on both the door key opening and the igition key opening.
So that is a big key to not being able to start the car without the key.
But some people seem to believe it can be done, I aint saying i dont believe them, I just want to know how, I mean I am very knowledgeable in electronics, and it would take a person who KNEW the wiring system of the car to get around the coded key system. Even then I dont think it works, cause if so, Clifford and other alarm companies would just do that to get around the remote start problem instead of using a bypass module.
