MAF: DaveB, Dealer or EBay?
Guys....
Need a new MAF....
DaveB and local dealer are very close. I think DaveB charges about 90.. and my local dealer can price match to $93 OTD.
Now... I see on EBay several sellers selling them as low as $60 but they are not Nissan original.
Any thoughts as to get one over the other?
Thanks!

Thank you folks!
On my way... dealer closes at 6 and has them in stock...
Its wierd the old MAF has not quit but as you can see from my hesitation thread, the car just felt like it deployed a parachute at 3500rpm!
BTW... mine probably is the first Maxima on the ORG to have the original MAF run 199780 miles LOL

Well considering that the MAF sensor has such a dramatic effect on just about every system in the car, why would anyone cheap out on such a vital sensor in the over all cars mechanics ... Dave B would be my first choice and if I couldn't wait then it would have to be my local dealer.

It was a moment of hesitation at 3500 and then it would pull to redline but slowly.
New MAF is in and the speed with which it runs from 3500-6300 is now way faster than before.
I'll probably do my after rpm needle video. I have several before videos in my before thread.
The VIAS on the 5th gens activates at 5K so that was not the issue. On 5.5 its closer to 3500.
My biggest concern was either MAF or the swirl control valve which also activates at the same RPM region.
New MAF is in... no reprogram... on the way back home the car just pulls differently above 3K...
Disconnected the battery now and will let her sit for a few hours to reset ECU.

I did clean it with crc but it still had the hesitation.
I'm looking forward to how she does on mpg now
However I'm going to try and return my drop in k&n. It's been in there for the last 4 months and this happens

Dave B is parts guy at southpoint Nissan in Texas. He gives maxima.org members a good discount on parts.
I have actually had good experience with my local coggin Nissan parts dept. They match online prices so for me it's generally the same

DaveB is an org vendor. He was a parts consultant at South Point Nissan that gave orgers a great discount, fast shipping, and awesome customer service on Nissan parts. I believe he is now the parts manager. He's a lot busier because of this, but his fellow coworker is cool too and continues the discount and service. David can still be reached if you're lucky or have his direct line. Again, great guy. Incredibly knowledgeable concerning Nissans.
